Hi Guys
new to Preston latterly from Manchester, where I was working for American/Delta/ Continental airlines, however, with Covid this came to an end last October. I got a temporary assignment with BAE in admin, but that has also come to an end.
I am living in a very nice apartment on Riversway, so very close to town, where I tend to go most days, in order to meet up with people. I jhave found this to be very difficult, as there are obviously loads of people out of work and really cannot afford to socialise and hopefully with the Lockdown being relaxed, you never know, it might just open the door and once more we should all be able to meet up have a drink and socialise.
My main hobby is travelling and I have done quite a lot of it since coming to the UK from the USA. I have been in England since 2016 and have worked mainly at Gatwick and Heathrow airports, but moved to Manchester Airport. in 2019.
I have also travelled in Europe extensively by car using the Eurotunnel and I am booked again for September, when I hope to travel to France and Italy, where I have friends. I was actually born in Malta and moved with my family to the US as a child and finished High School and went to work for Continental Airlines at Newark, New Jersey. I have done numerous jobs within the airline industry, my last job as a Logistics officer, looking after incoming /outgoing aircraft movements. I have also had spells in Cabin Crew training and Sales & Marketing, so have a got working knowledge of the industry. I would love to get back into work, but it has become almost impossible to even getting an interview. It might well be that age is a factor.
Well I hope and trust that there will be some like minded people out there that would like to connect, especially ex airline crews.
