I moved to the area over two years ago, but haven't made a real effort to make any friends of my own, separate from my husband's friends, until now, originally from America, work for a charity doing fundraising work (and before you ask, no, that does not mean I am one of those annoying chuggers!), I have a dog who is like a child to me (yes, I am one of "those") and don't plan on having any "real" children. Ideally, I'd like to meet a few other child-less ladies for a few drinks and a laugh so I can stop being a constant tag-along when my husband goes to the pub with his mates.
