“ Howdy! I have just moved to Preston from the North East for work and I know NOBODY down here, so I am looking for some like minded people to go and have a drink with, maybe catch a show, and generally settle in! Ideally someone who knows the area pretty well and can show me the ropes!I work at 53 Degrees as Events Manager, so work some weird hours, but always have time for a pint or 2. Nothing goes better with a pint than a smoke too!Things I like:Hot and cold beverages.Camping, going to the beach, aimless walks, reading on the bus.Tyre Swings, and the idea of building ziplines to erradicate the need to walk up and down hills.Spending hours getting lost in the realms of Wikipedia.Things i listen to:Maximo Park, Blur, Moz, Jay-Z, Ben Folds, Tom Petty, Justice, Fleetwood Mac, Massive Attack, Stone Roses, Shed Seven, DFA 1979, Gene, Portishead, Weezer, Interpol, Stevie Wonder, Pixies, MGMT, Led Zep, Primal Scream, I'm from Barcelona, The Smiths, Johnny Cash, Oasis, Floyd and Kate Bush to name a few.I could go on and on, but I won't. Any music that suites the mood works for me.Things I watch:24, West Wing, South Park, TV Burp, Bang Bang it's Reeves and Mortimer, Obscure documentaries, Andrew Marr, Spaced, Brass Eye, Peep Show, Family Guy, Nathan Barley and anything else that I can watch in bed in a semi state of conciousnous.Also watching Sky Sports News over and over and over again.......One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Shawshank, Schindlers List, Requim For A Dream, High Fidelity, It's A Wonderful Life, Spinal Tap, Party Monster, The Shining, Fight Club, Suspiria, Primal Fear, Forrest Gump, Das Experiment, Ghostbusters, Flight of the Navigator, The Breakfast Club, Mighty Ducks, American History X, Arlington Road, 28 Days Later, JFK, Waynes World.If in doubt though anything with Tom Hanks, Ed Norton or Simon Pegg.So if you fancy going for a pint give me a shout! ”
